In the Name of God Amen I Lancelott Docwra of Putridge in the County of Hertford Esq. do make this my Last Will and Testament as follows and first and principally I commit my Soul to my Creator who gave it me in hopes by the Merits and mediation of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to receive remission and fforegiveness of all my Sins and to inherit Everlasting Life

and as to my worldly Goods after payment of my just debts and Probate of this my Will I give thereout unto my Servant Elizabeth Bean all my wearing apparell and Linnen of all kinds my Bed att Putridge with all its ffurniture Three Silver Spoones and a Looking glass and the Summe of Thirtye pounds out of my Personall Estate;

To my Neece Ann Docwra wife of mr. Richard Docwra my Signett Gold ring on which is the Crest of the Armes of my ffamily for the use of her Eldest Son;

To my ffriends mr. Richard Bulkler and mr. Hum. Yate each one Guinea Ring

and all the rest of my Estate of what kind soever I give the same to my Nephew Sr. George Warburton Bart. out of which I expect he will take care I have decent Christian Buriall in the Ancyent Buriall Place of my ffamily att Lilley in the said County of Hertford in a private manner as he the said Sr. George Warburton hath already promised me he will do

and of this my Last Will and Testament I hereby constitute and Appoint the said Sr. George Warburton Sole Executor hopeing he will justly and truely performe the same

and do hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time made In Wittness where of I the said Lancelott Docwra have hereunto putt my hand and Seale and published the same as my Last Will and Testament this 17th day of ffebruary Anno D[omi]ni 1711 (Lancelot Docwra) Signed Sealed and published in the presence of Lancelott Rebins, Rebecka ffox, her marke.

Probatum fuit hujusmodi Testamentum apud London Decimo Tertio die Mensis Augusti Anno Domini Millesimo Septingentesimo Decimo Sexto coram Venerabili viro Johanne Andrew Legum Doctore Surrogato Venerabilis et Egregii viri Johannis Bettesworth Legum etiam Doctoris Curi? Pr?rogativ? Cantuariensis Magistri Custodis sive Commissarij legitime constituti Juramento Domini Georgij Warburton Baronetti Executoris unici in dicto Testamento nominati cui commissca fuit Administratio omnium et singulorum bonorum jurium et Creditorum dicti defuncti de bene et fideliter administrando eadem ad Sancta Dei Evangelia Jurat Ex.
